 Macbeth by William Shakespeare

Director Emily Richman

This tragedy opens with the sight of witches finishing a cabal and moves deeper into chaos, "fog and filthy air," murder, and dark mystery. Events transpire faster than the mind can conceive as Macbeth seizes power only to be destroyed by his blind ambition.  Perhaps no other Shakespearean drama so engulfs its readers in the ruinous journey of surrender to evil as does Macbeth.  A timeless tragedy about the nature of ambition, conscience, and the human heart, the play holds a profound grip on the Western imagination.
